How Do I Calibrate My Power Bank 2000 to Connect an Expansion Pack?

A guide to your Power Bank 2000's settings menu and how to calibrate it for Expansion Packs. Before connecting any Expansion Packs, ensure that the power levels of each battery are within 10% of each other (fully charged is ideal).

Calibration Method

To connect your units, changing the capacity display in your Power Bank's settings will help you keep track of how much power you have between all units. Use the following steps to access your Power Bank's settings menu:

1. Turn on the Power Bank. The screen will light up. Press the "DC" and "AC" buttons at the same time, and hold until the battery outline on the screen begins to flash. Then, quickly double-click the "AC" button to enter the settings menu.  How Do I Calibrate My Power Bank 2000 to Connect an Expansion Pack_ ()_13158128763035

5. Press and hold "AC" to enter the fourth menu item, "004". This refers to total battery capacity, and will need to be changed if you've added an Expansion Pack 3000. After your Expansion Pack(s) are connected, short-press "DC" to make the default value (1920W) flash. Then, short-press "AC" to adjust the battery volume.

If you have added one EP3000, change the value to "4992W".

If you have added two EP3000s, change the value to "8064W".

Connecting Your Expansion Pack

1. To connect your Expansion Pack to your Power Bank, first confirm the battery volume for both devices to ensure their volume difference is no more than 10%. If the difference is greater than 10%, it will take a longer period of time to cascade successfully.

2. Connect the Power Bank with port "1" on the Expansion Pack with a 24V cascade connecting cable.

Insert the cascading cable, arrow-side facing upwards.

Push the cable inward, aligned with the port, and insert into place until you hear a "click."

To remove the cable, hold the protrusions on both sides and turn to the left while pulling away.

If you want to connect two Expansion Packs, you can connect port "2" on the first pack to port "1" on the second pack (as seen above).

3. Once the connection is complete, the indicator light should light up green, meaning the cascade is successful and can be used normally.

If the indicator light is red, it will mean that the power discrepancy between the two devices is too large, and the battery is balancing itself. Lowering the battery difference between the Power Bank and Expansion Pack before cascading can reduce the equalization time.

Please remember to read your user manual(s) thoroughly to ensure your batteries are used correctly--copies of these manuals are available here, in the "Batteries" section
